8:00 am – Traditional Service
9:15 am – Education Hour
10:30 am – Contemporary Service
Please note: We have education for all ages at 9:15 each Sunday morning.
Our Traditional Service follows the pattern of liturgy as used in Lutheran churches for centuries, and utilizes the pipe organ, choirs and hymns of the Church. The service is warm, relational and inviting; reverent, but not stuffy.
Our Contemporary Service features the music of today and is more informal. Utilizing a worship team comprised of vocalists and instruments such as piano, guitar, drums and keyboard, this service features the new and now familiar, soaring praise music from which flows sweet heart-felt worship of our Savior. This service is also relational and occasionally involves drama segments.
One of the Vision Points at Zion Lutheran Church is, “A people who have a passion for worship.”
God’s people at Zion Lutheran Church have a spirit of joy and a passion for worship. This joy and passion is initially expressed in the way visitors to our worship services are greeted and welcomed. They come through our doors as strangers and leave as friends.
We invite, even urge, you to worship with us. And why is worship important? Why not just “commune with nature” or “meditate alone at home?” When God wins our heart, He draws from us a passion for and delight in worship. Through our Savior, Jesus, God has done so much for us. He saves us from our sins so that we may join Him in heaven for all eternity. His love for us is so vast and deep that we take pleasure in responding to Him. He loves us and we respond to Him. We gather in worship to pour out our thanks, praise and adoration.
During the seasons of Advent (the weeks leading up to Christmas) and Lent (the weeks leading up to Easter) services are also held on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 am and evenings at 6:30 pm.
